About Duke Aesthetics Academy
Duke Aesthetics Academy was created to bridge the gap between certification and confidence. Through intimate, hands-on training and personalized mentorship, we help medical professionals strengthen their clinical judgment, refine their technique, and learn how to assess and treat the face with intention.
Our approach goes beyond memorizing injection points. We focus on anatomy, full-face assessment, treatment planning, patient safety, and real-world application so you leave feeling more prepared to step into your aesthetic practice with confidence.
Training Programs & Mentorships
-

Intro to Injectables:
Tox + Filler Foundations
Designed for medical professionals who are new to injectables and want a strong, hands-on foundation before beginning independent practice.
Students learn foundational anatomy, patient assessment, consultation, neurotoxin and filler fundamentals, product selection, treatment planning, and hands-on live-model treatment in an intimate learning environment.
Best for: New injectors who need foundational education and hands-on experience.
-

Bridging the Gap:
Personalized Injector Mentorship
For certified injectors who have completed introductory training but still want more confidence translating what they learned into real-world practice.
This personalized mentorship focuses on full-face assessment, treatment planning, patient selection, clinical decision-making, tox and/or filler technique refinement, and meaningful hands-on experience. Ongoing case review and mentorship support can be incorporated based on the injector’s needs.
Best for: Certified injectors who are asking, “I took the course... now what?”
-

Clinical Mentorship:
Shadowing + Ongoing Support
For injectors who want continued access to an experienced injector as they grow in practice.
Clinical Mentorship can include shadowing real clinic days, reviewing patient cases, discussing treatment plans, troubleshooting follow-ups, or having individualized clinical support while treating your own patients.
This is designed to meet injectors where they are — whether they want to observe, ask questions, refine their clinical judgment, or simply have someone experienced in their corner.
Best for: Injectors who are already practicing and want continued mentorship, observation, or clinical support.
Meet Your
Kendall Duke, RN, BSN, CLT
Mentor
I’m Kendall — nurse injector, educator, mom of three, former ICU nurse, and founder of Duke Aesthetics Academy. With 7+ years in aesthetics and 6+ in ICU care, I teach anatomy-first, safety-first practice.
I created Duke Aesthetics Academy after seeing many providers finish certification but still lack confidence in assessment, treatment planning, and independent practice. My aim is to teach you to think like an injector: assess the whole patient, understand underlying anatomy, make informed clinical decisions, and build your own style.
I favor small-group, patient-based learning for hands-on practice and real-time reasoning. Ongoing mentorship is central — whether you’re new, bridging certification gaps, or seeking continued guidance, Duke Aesthetics Academy helps you move from certification to confidence. I’m honored to join you on that journey.

Bridging the Gap
Personalized Hands-On Training & Mentorship
-
Bridging the Gap was created for injectors who have already completed introductory certification but still feel like something is missing.
Maybe you understand the basics but don't feel confident building a treatment plan. Maybe you've injected a few patients but still second-guess your decisions. Or maybe your original course simply didn't give you enough meaningful hands-on experience.
This mentorship is tailored to the individual injector rather than following a one-size-fits-all beginner curriculum.
We'll identify where you feel least confident and build your training experience around those needs.
-
Full-face patient assessment
Consultation and treatment planning
Patient selection
Neurotoxin technique refinement
Dermal filler technique refinement
Product-selection discussions
Dosing and placement considerations
Live-model treatment
Photography and documentation
Patient follow-up and outcome evaluation
Case review
Clinical decision-making
Continued mentorship and support
The focus is not simply how I would treat the patient.
The goal is to teach you how to evaluate the patient, understand your options, and confidently make your own clinical decisions.
-
Bridging the Gap is designed for certified injectors who know the fundamentals but want additional hands-on experience, individualized instruction, and support transitioning into independent practice.
Certification gave you the foundation. Now we build the confidence.
Clinical Mentorship
Shadowing + Continued Injector Support
-
Clinical Mentorship is designed for injectors who are actively practicing and want continued access to an experienced injector as they develop their skills and clinical judgment.
This option is intentionally flexible because support looks different at every stage of your career.
You may want to spend time shadowing a real clinic day, talk through challenging patient cases, refine your consultation skills, review treatment plans, or have an experienced injector beside you while you treat.
Clinical Mentorship allows us to tailor that experience to what will benefit you most.
-
Clinical shadowing
Consultation observation
Full-face assessment
Treatment-planning discussion
Case review
Product-selection guidance
Patient follow-up discussion
Clinical troubleshooting
Technique refinement
Individual treatment observation

Clinical Mentorship is best for injectors who are already treating patients but want continued education, observation, case support, or individualized clinical guidance.
Whether you need another set of eyes on a treatment plan or simply want to spend a day seeing how another injector approaches their practice, this program is designed to help you continue growing.
Because becoming a confident injector isn't a one-day process.
